My love for art

Pusztai Csaba

I welcome both my current and future admirers of my work. My name is Pusztai. In 1999, I earned my degree in fine arts at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where I was awarded the Béla Kondor Prize for my diploma work. At the beginning of my career, I mainly created colorful lithographs and paintings; my themes often included street scenes and crowd scenes, which remain defining elements of my art to this day. My work has been shaped by realism, impressionism, and other post-impressionist tendencies, and this approach continues to be fundamental for me.                                                                                  Until 2012, I held numerous solo exhibitions. I participated in the Miskolc Graphic Biennial, the Eger Watercolor Biennial, and took part several times in the International Art Colony of Győr. From 2013 onwards, sculpture began to play an increasingly important role in my artistic journey.                                                                                              In 2019, I created a life-sized Calvary sculpture group in Győrújasszonyfa, and in the same year, I completed the Nativity sculpture group and stage design for Győr–Adyváros. In 2023, I sculpted the bust of Sándor Széchenyi, which was unveiled in Nagydorog.

"Csaba loved colors and different shapes from an early age. As a child, he would draw and paint for hours, delighting his family and friends with new creations each time. As he grew older, he became increasingly aware that he wanted to become an artist and vowed to do everything he could to achieve this dream." - Childhood friend

In my work, I create paintings using various techniques, usually depicting people, places, or real objects.
